‘Listen to My Heartbeat’ consist of four ambient tracks made with recordings from the interactive sound installation of the same title which took place at Meanwhile Space in Harrow, London July 7th to the 17th 2016. Here participants’ heartbeats were picked up by finger-pulse-sensors and mechanically translated into droning sound from five tanpura built from recycled table-tops. A photo from the installation is enclosed in your download.
All four tracks are rendered from acoustic recordings from the event while tracks two to four have been run through a series of amps and guitar pedals. The added birdsong and other ambient sounds on three of the tracks have been recorded in Harrow.
Although an offshoot from the interactive art installation the album due to its later studio editing is an ambient album in its own right.
